It’s here!! Dairy free ice-cream – looks just like the real thing, doesn’t it?? Super easy to make using ingredients you’ve already got in your kitchen and no fancy schmancy additions… This is banana and chocolate ice cream because it tastes like h e a v e n (no lie) but you can take out the choc and add whatever you like… More versions of this coming soon. So here’s what you need to do:
Start by getting some of those frozen bananas out:
Add a dash of honey and some cacao powder
Blitz it all up in your blender, and voila – nice cream right there!
1 chopped frozen banana
1 teaspoon raw cacao (or cocoa)
A squeeze of honey
Put all ingredients in the blender and blitz until whipped. As much as you are tempted to add some milk (as I kept being hollered to do) don’t do it – follow your instinct and scrape if you need to and it WILL work out. It takes about 2 minutes to make and it’s just gorgeous… I also added some peanut butter to another version for my son the peanut butter fiend and O M G – gorgeous! It’s a great activity to do with the kids too – Happy healthy ice-cream making.
